πŸ›Ά Kayaks – Final Sale Once Shipped

Due to the size and freight costs involved in shipping kayaks, all kayak sales are final once a shipment leaves our warehouse. This applies to both in-stock and pre-order kayaks, and helps us keep our prices competitive while protecting our small team from costly return freight.

πŸ“¦ Accessories – 30-Day Returns

We accept returns on apparel, accessories, GearBoxes, and coolers within 30 days of delivery, provided the following conditions are met:

βœ… Return Eligibility

  • Item must be returned within 30 days of delivery
  • Item must be unused, in original condition, with all tags and packaging intact
  • Proof of purchase (order confirmation or receipt) is required

πŸ” Exchanges

The fastest way to exchange an item is to return the original (if eligible) and place a new order. Exchanges are processed as new purchases.

🚚 Return Shipping

  • Customers are responsible for return shipping costs unless the return is due to a manufacturing defect or an error on our part
  • Original shipping charges are non-refundable unless the item arrived damaged or was sent in error
  • We recommend using a trackable shipping method on returns valued over $75 β€” Hoodoo Sports is not responsible for lost return shipments

πŸ’΅ Restocking Fee

A 10% restocking fee applies to all approved returns not canceled within our 24-hour grace period. This will be deducted from your refund amount.

πŸ“¨ How to Request a Return

Email customerservice@hoodoosports.com with the following:

  • Your name and order number
  • Item(s) you wish to return
  • Reason for the return and any supporting photos (if defective or damaged)

Items sent back without prior approval will not be accepted.


πŸ’³ Order Cancellations

Within 24 Hours of Purchase

You can cancel any order β€” kayak or accessory β€” for a full refund, no questions asked. Life happens and we get it.

After 24 Hours, Pre-Shipment

A 10% restocking fee will apply to cover credit card processing and order handling costs. This applies to both kayak and accessory orders.

After Shipment

  • Kayaks: Cannot be canceled once the shipment has left our warehouse β€” no exceptions
  • Accessories: We'll do our best to intercept the shipment, but cannot guarantee it. If the item ships before we can stop it, our standard 30-day accessories return policy applies

πŸ›  Damaged or Defective Items

Please inspect your order carefully upon delivery. For kayaks shipped via freight carrier, inspect the packaging before the driver leaves.

⚠️ Freight Damage Must Be Noted at Delivery

If there is any visible damage to the packaging or kayak, note it on the Bill of Lading (BOL) before the driver leaves. Damage that is not documented at the time of delivery is extremely difficult to claim after the fact and may result in your claim being denied by the freight carrier.

  • Report any damage to us within 24 hours of delivery by emailing customerservice@hoodoosports.com with photos
  • If possible, refuse delivery for severe freight damage and note the refusal on the BOL
  • We are not able to process damage claims for issues that were not noted at delivery and reported more than 24 hours after receipt β€” damage that occurs during unloading or storage cannot be distinguished from freight damage after the fact

πŸ“‹ Extenuating circumstances: We understand that genuine emergencies happen. If something prevented you from reporting on time, reach out anyway β€” we'll review on a case-by-case basis.

For non-kayak items received damaged, defective, or incorrect, contact us immediately and we'll work quickly to make it right.


πŸ’° Refund Processing

Once we receive and inspect your return, we'll notify you of the approval status. Approved refunds are issued back to your original payment method within 5 business days.

🚫 Non-Returnable Items

  • Kayaks: Final sale once picked up by the shipping carrier
  • Hazardous materials: No returns on flammable liquids, gases, or chemicals
  • Sale items and gift cards: Final sale β€” no returns or refunds
