Cancellation policy
At Hoodoo Sports, we offer pre-orders and deposits on select kayak models to help you secure your gear before it's in stock. This policy outlines how pre-orders and deposits work, and what your options are if you need to make changes or cancel.
🛶 Pre-Orders & Deposits
When you place a pre-order, you're securing an out-of-stock or upcoming kayak before it reaches our inventory. Deposits are available on kayak models only. At checkout, we'll collect either full payment or a deposit to reserve your order, and securely store your payment method for any remaining balance.
- If you place a deposit, the remaining balance will be charged to your payment method before your order ships.
- The price you pay at checkout is locked in. If our pricing changes after you place your order, your existing order is not affected.
- Estimated fulfillment timelines are subject to change based on production, shipping, or supply chain factors.
🔄 Making Changes to a Pre-Order
Need to swap colors or make a change after placing your order? We're happy to help — just reach out before your order ships.
- Color changes are allowed at any time before shipment, subject to availability. Contact us at customerservice@hoodoosports.com and we'll do our best to accommodate.
- Once an order has shipped, changes are no longer possible.
💳 Cancellations
Within 24 Hours of Purchase
You can cancel any pre-order or deposit for a full refund, no questions asked. Life happens and we get it.
After 24 Hours, Pre-Shipment
A 10% cancellation fee will apply to cover credit card processing and order handling costs. This applies to both the deposit and full pre-order payments.
After Shipment
Once your order has shipped, it is no longer eligible for cancellation. Please refer to our Refund Policy for information on returns and refunds.
⏳ Order Delays
We'll always do our best to hit the estimated timeline shown on the product page when you ordered. If your order is significantly delayed beyond what was communicated at the time of purchase, we'll notify you by email as soon as we're aware.
📋 Significant Delays
If we determine that a delay is significant enough to warrant it, we'll offer you the option to cancel your order for a full refund — no questions asked. That call is made by our team on a case-by-case basis, and we'll always err on the side of doing right by you.
💰 Refunds
- Cancellations within 24 hours of purchase receive a full refund to your original payment method
- Cancellations after 24 hours but before shipment receive a refund minus a 10% cancellation fee
- Refunds are processed within 5 business days of the cancellation being approved
